LUBRICATION WHEN USING DRILLS

SHARPENING DRILL BITS

It is recommended that lubrication is used as the drilling process produces friction between the drill bit and the material being drilled, this causes wear on the drill bit. When lubrication is used it will extend the life of the drill, and help to maintain the sharp edge and reduce the risk of breakage.

It is possible to sharpen drill bits - care should be taken in ensuring the correct cutting angles are maintained during the re sharpening process.
