Lubrication when using Drills • It is recommended that lubrication is used as the drilling process produces friction between the drill bit and the material being drilled, this causes wear on the drill bit. • When lubrication is used it will extend the life of the drill, and help to maintain the sharp edge and reduce the risk of breakage.
Sharpening Drill bits
• It is possible to sharpen drill bits - care should be taken in ensuring the correct cutting angles are maintained during the re sharpening process.
